Biography
I am a nationally certified equine massage therapist, educator, and the founder of the Animal Bodywork Academy of New England, where I train the next generation of animal bodywork practitioners and dedicated horse owners. My work centers on enhancing equine health, comfort, and performance through consent-based, science-backed techniques taught in a clear, practitioner-friendly way.
Before founding the Academy, I built a successful career as a project manager and technical support engineer in the software industry. While that role strengthened my skills in leadership and problem-solving, my lifelong love of horses ultimately guided me to equine bodywork—a shift that allowed me to align passion with purpose. I served as Equine Program Administrator and instructor at the Bancroft School of Massage Therapy, helping hundreds of students develop strong foundations in equine massage. Today, through the Animal Bodywork Academy, I continue this educational mission by offering comprehensive curriculum, mentorship, and professional development resources designed to support both equine welfare and practitioner success.
My training includes advanced coursework in Equine Manual Lymph Drainage, Applied Kinesiology Taping, Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization, and Equine Acupressure. This broad foundation allows me to meet the diverse needs of horses—whether beloved companions, competitive athletes, or therapy partners—while modeling consent-based, horse-centered practice for students.
In addition to my teaching and practice, I am honored to serve on the NBCAAM Board of Directors, where I help shape national standards and certification for animal massage. Through this work, I advocate for excellence, credibility, and recognition of animal bodywork as a vital part of equine wellness.
At the heart of my work is a simple mission: to empower students, practitioners, and horse owners with the skills, confidence, and clarity to support the well-being of horses everywhere.
